UKRAINE RELIEF FUND
The Order of St. George is honored to assist Infinitus Salvator fulfill its mission. Since its inception in late 2021, Infinitus Salvator has actively ensured at-risk people's safety, security, and well-being. They have a proven track record of protecting those most vulnerable living through violent conflict, widespread persecution, or displacement. This includes evacuation from immediately dangerous areas, relocation to safe havens, and support for final resettlement and a better future. Since August 2021, Infinitus Salvator has successfully executed our mission and supported more than 1,550 at-risk individuals in violence-wrecked countries, including Afghanistan, Israel-Gaza, Sudan, and Ukraine.
The current priority is 68 at-risk Afghans. This group of 11 families arrived in Prishtina, Kosovo, in mid-October 2024. They are the last remnants of 360-plus at-risk Afghans who were evacuated from Afghanistan. This group was evacuated to Iran before relocating to Erbil, Kurdistan. The group includes persecuted religious families, persecuted journalists, former interpreters, woman rights activists, and three single-female-led families. Below is a demographic snapshot of the families, showing 35 children, 14 younger than ten years old, whose futures we are trying to secure.
Support for these families includes:
Obtaining travel documents (valid passports, approved visas, birth certificates, etc.)
Secure accommodation, including safe houses in Afghanistan and self-serve apartments in Kurdistan and Kosovo.
Sustainment initially took the form of safe food deliveries, and currently, monthly food stipends allow families to prepare their own food.
Health care, in case of emergencies.
Incidental costs, including sim cards for each family to allow effective communication with the operating team.
Travel (via road or commercial air).
Most of this group (7 families) have pathways to their final resettlement location (Belgium, Canada, France, United States). Efforts are underway to secure final resettlement for the remaining four families. Unfortunately, the bureaucracy involved in processing these refugee visa cases is more than just slow. It is anticipated that it will take 6-9 months to finalize processing for this last group of at-risk Afghans.
Infinitus Salvator and all those supported over the last three or more years have been fortunate to have generous sponsors who, through their donations, have helped to fund our humanitarian operations. Unfortunately, with competing agendas and conflicts, several sponsors have now reached their donation limits. This request is to raise additional donations to allow our organization to complete our mission related to this group of at-risk Afghans.
To complete this program, an overall budget of $450,000 over nine months is needed, and we are confident that we can complete this mission. However, we need to cover additional expenses (related to relocating and resettling our group to Kosovo) amounting to $135,000. This includes visa fees, charter aircraft, and new rent and sustainment. Through existing sponsors and others, we have covered $85,000 and need support to cover the $50,000 delta. We sincerely hope you can help us build this last bridge to cover our delta.
Your kind consideration to pulse your network for support
